Our Mission

Our lives changed for the better when our son was diagnosed as autistic at 18. The diagnosis brought new understanding and clarity. Realizing how many people are misunderstood sparked a mission: to embrace neurodiversity and find ways to connect with and support those on the autism spectrum.

As we delved deeper, we discovered a heartbreaking reality — unemployment rates for autistic adults range from a staggering 70–90%. This isn’t due to a lack of talent or potential but rather a lack of opportunities and inclusive environments. We knew we had to make a difference.

That’s why we created Spectrum of Sweets — a cookie company with a purpose. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to work, find purpose, and connect with others. Our team is made up of many talented individuals who are autistic or neurodivergent, and together, we bake delicious treats that bring joy to our community.

We aren’t just baking cookies; we’re building a place where everyone can thrive, contribute, and feel valued. Through every cookie we bake, we are spreading awareness, breaking down barriers, and celebrating the strengths of our incredible team.

Where Our Story Began

Our journey began with a personal turning point: when our son was diagnosed as autistic at 18, it brought a deeper understanding of the challenges many neurodivergent individuals face every day.

We quickly realized that unemployment among autistic adults isn’t about lack of talent—it’s about lack of opportunity.

So we set out to make a difference: by creating a bakery where creativity and inclusion go hand in hand, and where every cookie tells a story of empowerment, purpose, and belonging.
